Colorado and Wyoming Road Trip
This was our babymoon! I was 23 weeks pregnant and going to a beach or tropical destination was out of the question due to the Zika outbreak. We decided to go on a massive road trip over 7 days. We visited Pagosa Springs, CO, Durango, CO, Silverton, CO Provo, UT, Georgetown, ID Jackson, WY and Firehole Canyon, WY My husband and I have been intrigued by the idea of a small very simple camper as a means to get us out more. Tent camping was out of the question due to having to sleep on the ground. This was the perfect solution. Due to all the dirt roads, we were a little worried but once we got going the tires and camper performed really well. Now that we have had this experience, we will be either buying or making one of these.
The trip was HOT! 110 degrees in Utah. However, the camper always stayed cool. We loved visiting the firehole canyon campground in WY. The views were amazing and so were the stars! I can’t wait to go back with friends. We tried to hike the ice lakes trail in Silverton, CO, however that was a bit much for me.
Amazing trip! I loved how the camper made me feel a little more “safe” while in the wilderness and I loved how simple the camper was. It took 10 minutes to set everything up, take that tent camping. Next time when we have our own camper, we will be going a little bit larger to 5×9. 4×8 is tight when you have a body pillow and 2 people in the camper.
