Labor Day Weekend in Turquoise Lake
We went with some friends to the Molly Brown campground near Leadville for Labor Day weekend. Our campsite was in a beautiful grove of lodgepole pines right on the water.
The weather was rainy on and off with a few periods of sun. We did some rafting and chilled on the beach, cooked up some good meals, and played some games at the camp site. The Adventure Tow Camper was perfect for relaxing and reading in during the day while it rained. We headed into Leadville for some lunch and shopping while it rained. The campsite had two parking spaces, so it was perfect for parking the trailer in one and the truck in the other.
Overall it was a relaxing weekend at the lake with some gorgeous views and a few mini adventures. We took the mountain bikes but it rained too much to ride, so I recommend only bringing a bike along if you have good weather in the forecast and some pre-planned trails to ride.
We used the coleman grill a few times for meals. It was nice to be able to cook even in the rain without having to make a camp fire. The front rack was perfect for storing the cooler, a camping box, and hauling wood back to the campsite on the way in. The Adventure Tow Camper was cozy and perfect for our trip, we loved not sleeping in a wet tent this weekend.
